The staff at Running Wild is highly trained and professional. We are available, friendly and we know our stuff. When you meet the staff you get the very best in all things running, fitness and triathlon related. Oh, and for the record...we don't take ourselves too seriously, seriously.
The Crew
Paul, Owner and The Heartbeat of Running Wild
His Story: From Naples, Florida, Paul graduated from University of Florida where he went on to fly helicopters in the Army. He met his wife, Cherie, in southwest Texas and then moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1997. A few years later they opened Running Wild and had 3 beautiful daughters. A runner and coach for over 30 years, he knows running and enjoys helping others reach their goals.
Cherie, Owner & Apparel Buyer
Her Story: From El Paso, Texas, Cherie grew up riding mountain bikes through the desert and working as a ski instructor. She ran competitively in high school and went on to run for Texas Tech University where she graduated with a Masters Degree in Communications and Marketing. She competed in countless marathons, and finished an Ironman one year after giving birth to twin girls providing endless inspiration to the running community.
Mike, Sales & Footwear Manager
His Story: Mike is from Pensacola and after graduating from Catholic High School he lived in Los Angeles and then worked as a cycling guide through Vermont. He completed his first Half Ironman in the early 80's and has the experience to lead any level of athlete. Graduated from FSU, Mike has an Excercise Science degree as well as a Masters in Business.
Nicki, Web & Social Marketing Director
Her Story: Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, this Navy brat has lived in 6 states. After graduating high school in Lousville, Kentucky she came to Pensacola in 1997 to attend University of West Florida. She ran Cross Country and competed in triathlon while attending UWF and has a degree in Exercise Science. She has coached and trained athletes for over 10 years and is the resident "cheerleader" at Running Wild.
Courtney, Training Program & Special Event Director
Her Story: Born in Pensacola, but raised in Romania Courtney is a spark that keeps Running Wild athletes moving. She is graduating from UWF and her degree is in Exercise Science. She has coached over 300 athletes to the finish line of various events and motivates us all to reach new goals. Courtney continues to bring new and exciting elements to the Training Programs.
Abby, Apparel & Administrative Manager
Her Story: Abby is from Pensacola and her degree in is Communications from UWF. She is also a certified Nutrition Consultant. She has two brothers , one is her twin! She loves running and is currently training for her third marathon. Her eye for style and organizational skills keep the running community outfitted in the latest running and fitness apparel.
Jared, Sales Associate & Staff Training Assistant
His Story: Raised in Tallahassee, Jared currently attends UWF. While working towards a degree in Sports Management, he is a leader on the UWF Men's Cross Country team. He has run for over 10 years and also cycles competitively while putting in 100+ miles a week on the bike. Jared is a team player and is always ready to help another staff member with his winning attitude.
Jon, Fairhope Store Manager
His Story: Born in Mobile, Jon is an Airzona State grad with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He started coaching in the 80's and hasn't stopped since. Jon loves to race marathon distance races and says watching and helping others develop to their full potential keeps him motivated.
Alison, Sales Associate and Fairhope Special Events Coordinator
Her Story: Born and raised in Troy, Alabama, she is a Troy State graduate with a passion for running. One tough mom with three sons, Alison runs for the love of running. She has run many 5k, 10k and Half Marathon distance races plus 3 full marathons. She leads the Phat Girlz Run Group in Fairhope and welcomes any new runners or walkers.
