      Chris Rockwood: Marathon Training Coach

      Meet Chris Rockwood, one of the coaches for this year's marathon. Chris has been running since he was in

      middle school but became a distance runner when he signed up for Running Wild's marathon training program

      in 2010! He has been coaching at Running Wild since 2012. Chris is CPR certified and his favorite local race

      is the Fiesta 10K.

       

      Gabriella Garza: Marathon Training Coach

      Meet Gabriella Garza, one of the coaches for the 2025 marathon. Gabriella has been a runner for over 42

      years and has coached for over 8. She coaches both 5K and marathon distances and is RRCA and CPR

      certified. Gabriella's favorite local race is the Fiesta 10K, which she is the director of!

       

      The group trains together on:

      • Saturdays Mornings @ 6:00am

      This Program Includes:

      Informative Kick-Off Meeting

      • Monday, August 18th at 6pm
      • Meet the coaches, get your training plans, get a water bottle and t-shirt, meet your fellow runners, and more!

      Training Prerequisite

      • ALL participants must have a running base of at least 15 miles per week for the previous 8 weeks prior to the start of training
      • Have the ability to run 6 miles consistently
      • Run an average pace of a 13 minutes/mile

      For Women's Footwear: B is the standard width. 2A is narrow, D is wide, and 2E is extra wide.
      For Men's Footwear: D is standard, B is narrow, 2E is wide, and 4E is extra wide.

      Kid's sizing is unisex and based on Men's sizing
