Lari is a wife and a mother of three. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for almost 24 years! Her youngest child left for college last month so now she is officially part of the empty nesters association. Lari grew up in Chumuckla, moved away, and just moved back to Pace 6 years ago. She just started working full time, last month, in the school system. With work on her everyday schedule she still tries to fit running into her schedule as a way to stay active and socialize!

Why did you start running?
“I started running because I was tired of standing on the sidelines watching my husband and other runners race! So I got myself some running shoes and started adding on the miles day by day.”
How has Running Wild helped you reach your goals?
“RW has motivated me to keep up my training and pushed me to train harder than I thought I could. My favorite thing about training with RW is getting to run with runners of every level. It is great to have faster runners to push me on and slower runners that I can motivate…..I have never felt out of place no matter what my speed has been! The consistent support I have received from RW has allowed me to learn how to support other runners. I have been able to take on the task of a “My First 5k” Coach and showing support to other runners is a great feeling!”
What is your greatest (most favorite) athletic/running accomplishment to date and why?
“My greatest running accomplishment was running a sub 2 hr. half marathon…it’s been a few years but that was a great feeling and one of the hardest runs I’ve done!”

TOP 4 Products from Running Wild to help you achieve success?
2) Injinji Toe Socks. I never run in any other socks and all the runners in my family wear them!
3) Nuun. Love a glass of Nuun after a run (add slice of lemon to the tri berry…yum!)
4) Handful Sports Bra. I feel extremely comfy running in my Handfuls….I may or may not own just about every color 😉

What is your next athletic goal and how do you plan to reach it?
“My next goal is to train to run the Pensacola Half Marathon in November. I plan to be consistent with my training, not stressed about time, and just enjoy the run!”
